Race Car Series – Season 22 Announced!

Welcome to the 2O4F “Race Car Series” (RCS) – Season 22

Must be a member of 2oldforza to participate!

The goal of the series is to provide an enjoyable and competitive night of racing using various race cars on some of the best tracks FM6 has to offer. Each night will consist of Two 35 minute races as part of a 4 week season and is open to all clean and respectful drivers. All race cars used in this series will remain stock with no tuning allowed.

Application procedure:

  • Signups for Season 20 close at 9:00pm Eastern Tuesday 8/8/17
  • All new drivers coming into the series will be placed in a Division based on the Series Director discretion.

Eligible Cars

  • All race cars must remain stock with no tuning allowed

Race Format

  • Two – 35 minute races.
  • Grid position for first race of the season will be based on timed qualification
  • Grid position for all other races will be based on the below handicap system
  • Tire and Fuel sim damage enabled

Pit Stops

  • All drivers are required to make 1 mandatory pit stop during the race prior to the start of the final lap
  • Failure to make the required pit stop will result in disqualification

Handicap System

  • Bucket One – 0 Sec Delay
  • Bucket Two – 8 Sec Start Delay
  • Bucket Three – 13 Sec Start Delay
  • Bucket Four – 18 Sec Start Delay
  • At the start of season, all drivers will be placed in Bucket One and the grid will be determined by a 3 lap qualification process (Collision Mode=Always Off) with a 3 second delay between cars. Lobby host should place the faster guys toward the front of the grid for the qualification so as to create spacing.
  • Grid based on Overall Standings using the existing handicap system except we will split the buckets to as close to 25% per bucket. For example, if we have 16 drivers, Bucket 4 will have places 1st thru 4th, Bucket 3 will have 5th thru 8th, etc, If we have 17 drivers in the race, all bucket will have 4 drivers except bucket 1 which will have 5 drivers. Bucket assignments will be based on points and number of drivers starting that race.
  • After each race, the standings will be updated and drivers will be placed in the buckets listed above based on current point standings after each race.

General Rules

  • Your 2O4F driver number must be on each door and rear bumper
  • We expect all drivers to exercise good racecraft at all times.
  • If you’re not sure what good racecraft is, It can be summed up in one simple ‘Golden Rule’ of motorsports: It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free.
  • If you don’t agree with this rule or don’t think it applies to you, this is not the series for you.
  • If you ever feel like a driver is not following the rules, please wait until league night is over, and then file a Racing Incident Report.
  • Our Stewards will review the incident and enforce the appropriate penalty on the driver in question.
  • Although race laps are called out in the pre-race report, they are subj to change

Division Assignments

  • All drivers will be placed into either the Pro or ProAm division
  • Division assignments will be re-assessed at the end of each season based on performance review by the Series Director
  • Each season will feature 3 Champions (1 Overall and 1 from each division)
  • Points for each division will based on your overall finish in the race. For example, if you are the top ProAm driver and you finish 5th overall, then you will earn 5th place points towards your proam total.
