Good morning 2O4F and welcome to the unofficial race lobby report we call:

Now onto the racing action. We start off the report with Forza Motorsport 7:

C Maloo Series.jpg

We begin the report with the weekly series hosted by Gizziegod. Week 2 is now history. The racers were to brave the Florida sun for a 30 lap race at Homestead infield circuit with the UTEs. If you didnt make a guess at it, King Cobra is back in the podium report as he took his Ford Pursuit UTE to the finish line for the second week in a row. Canned Canuck wasnt far behind and is giving chase to points leader KC. Woodstock UK was a new entry to the series and landed the 3rd place finish in a HSV Maloo. As noted, we are into week 2 of 4 in the series and KC is out front with a 12 point lead on Canuck. Check the official thread for more details and points. It appears as though Mr spreadsheet slammer may enter the ring this week as he requested his car be painted and ready. Speaking of the next race, the racers will travel to the ring at Hockenheim GP for 20 laps. Them 2 UTEs ought to be a handful on the flat twists of Hockenheim so stay tuned to the thread to see how this one plays out or better yet, read the rules for build and get your UTE on the track. Good luck to all entries!

Tuesday nights are home of the long running Super Normal Tuesdays. This is a great night of non points racing with some of the regular series drivers in the club. The racing starts in D class and if the racing stays clean, we move up a class to as far as we can go. Fun night for all and a great night of racing for newer members. See the official thread for more information. This past week we had some great battles. We were able to catch one of the races and here are a couple teaser pics:

Wednesday nights, Gizziegod hosts a track night very similar to Super Normal Tuesdays but this is a Euro event so please check the thread for the official time frame for racing action. It is another great opportunity to run with some really fast members and a great place to get to race with some of the regulars you will be battling with if you are planning to run one of Gizzies series.

D RCS Banner.jpg

Thursday night is the night of stock race cars and GrimGrinninGhosts’ series…RCS or Race Car Series. Season 1 hits the tarmac in the BMW 125i. Season 1 is off and running (at least for most).
There are some issues with drivers not being seen on the track. If you notice this occurring in the lobby you are in, please let the host know so we can sort it out. Hopefully this will get resolved and we can have everybody racing again in harmony.
Week 1 dropped the flag at Maple Valley short and then at Mugello Club circuits and the podium continued to look as is if we were still in FM6. Electric continued his domination of the Pro lobby with back to back wins. HLR Stu would not give up much ground with back to back 2nd place finishes. Lord Sarverious would get a podium with a 3rd place finish at Maple Valley while Lucky1 would take home the 3rd place finish at Mugello. There was some great action throughout the replay and here is what we were able to catch at Mugello:

The Pro AM lobby had some unseen driver issues but beyond that, we witnessed some great racing and some great battles. Bigdaddy and Fusion14 traded spots on the podium as Fusion14 brought home the victory at Maple Valley and Bigdaddy crossed 2nd. Mugello would see the reverse order. Old Scotian continues his podium finishes into FM7 with a 3rd place finish at Maple Valley and Anubis0816 gets his 1st podium in FM7 RCS action at Mugello. ProAM is shaping up to have a great launch season with many drivers and what appears to be a very homologated group of entries. There were some great battles and we were able to snap a few shots at Mugello for those who want to reminisce for a little while.

F JDM Series.jpg

Drivebye has made his official announcement on the forums for his series: The Ultimate Street car Showdown, JDM version. This is a casual deathmatch for Japanese CAR fans. There will be no points and entries are encouraged to have several different cars built and they can change them out as wanted. There have been some close races among the testers so we are hoping to see some great battles as the racing develops. Kick off starts today at 9pm Est, post in the thread if you want in and as always, good luck to all that enter.

E HLC Banner.jpg

And the final moments of the Forza portion of the report are always home to the 2Old 4Hotlapping or the HLC series brought to you by Pryde300ZX, FV Lucky1, Triumphrid3r and Lord Sarverious.
Please check the thread to get the new scorer gamer tags added to your friends list so that your lap times can be recorded.
As you may already know, Turn10 threw a curve ball on the hotlapping system in 7 so make sure you check the HLC thread for rules and where the challenge ends up taking us next.
Last weeks kick off event was COTA, West layout at night in the homologated Vintage sport compact division. The Mazda Cosmo made its way back to the leaderboards and Lucky pushed his the hardest as he walked away with #1 hardcore with a 1.48.250 and the #1 2O4fr! Stu put in a few closing quick laps but couldnt catch lucky by close of event. Stu would finish out the event with a 1.48.361. MasterBigChief would not be far behind with a 1.48.668. It was a short leaderboard to begin with but now it is full of 2O4F drivers – great job to all for the official kick off event.

E1.jpg

Week 2 is now in play. We are challenged to LeMans Le Sarthe in homologated Forza P2 division cars. Electric is now on the books and out front with a #2 in the world 3.35! Grim has arrived on the scene with a 3.37.3xx and Lucky is working the accelerator hardcore with a 3.37.8xx. There is still plenty of time to get your time in so pull that Corvette DP or Ford DP out and throw down some laps!! 2O4F owns the Hardcore leaderboard and is starting to flood the overall…again great job!!

Go to the official Hot Lap Challenge threads to see where you stand and to keep up with what the organizers throw at us next (new events are announced and start on Tuesday nights). If you head to the official thread, keep an eye out for Prydes season points update, it usually has some good fun in there and is a great read while you are trolling the threads.

G Other Header.jpg

There is racing happening in several different platforms right now so if you want to get into something different, check the forums and threads under the titles name to see what is going on and when.

J Dirt4 Banner.jpg

Dirt4 is continuing to run weekly challenges that end on Sundays. Head over to the official Dirt4 thread to see where and what is going on with this title. It may be a little slow right now as most of the main players are either on FM7 or Project cars 2 at this time but there are still some racers keeping the mud slung so post away in the thread and good luck on the stages!

H PC Banner.jpg

Project Cars 2 has launched along side Forza 7 and is also struggling to shake its bugs out. By my overview of the thread, the Ginetta cup has not been able to officially kick off yet. Hopefully the bugs will get resolved and the entries can get to racing. From what I have heard of this game is that it is a great SIM and is also controller friendly (at least more than AC was). There is a time attack thread as well so if PC2 is what you do, check out the official threads to see what else is in the works for this title.

And here we are again, at the end of the report. At this time, the staff would like to thank all the contributors, event organizers, livery creators, replay savers, spread sheet slammers, hot lappers, tuners, and everyone else who gets on the forums and gets involved.

See you on the track or behind your ghost, have fun and good luck racers and lappers!
