Good morning 2O4F and welcome to the unofficial race lobby report we have dubbed:
Now onto the racing action with Forza Motorsport 7:
We begin the report with the weekly series hosted by Gizziegod. Gizzie has challenged the entries with the Aussie Madness series which feature them two UTEs. Looking at the standings, it is pretty cool to see a series that has both choices battling for the lead. The points are Holden / Ford / Holden / Ford…….
GrimGrnninGhost would join the group for 20 laps at the Hockenheim GP circuit. There were several battles and some great racing action in the opening laps. Grimster would get out front while some battles took shape behind him. GTV Zeratul would slip into second and would set his sights on Grim but would have several laps to get the distance meter to start showing. Derekthetree would have some side by side lap after lap battles with Gizziegod. As the final checkers waved across the finish line, Derekthetree would be the one to take home the victory. GrimGrnninGhost would cross 2nd and GTV Zeratul would grab 3rd. With the absence of KC in this weekends event, GTV Zeratul has now catapulted into the lead for the championship bid. KC steps down to 2nd and Gizziegod now sits in 3rd . There are 2 races left in the series, 1 bad or absent week can turn the points and championship upside down. This weeks event is slated for Mugello full, a very technical track for some tail happy UTEs. Shout out to Grim for catching and sharing the replay. Here are some pics from last weeks race:
Tuesday nights are home of the long running Super Normal Tuesdays. This is a great night of non points racing with some of the regular series drivers in the club. The racing starts in D class and if the racing stays clean, we move up a class to as far as we can go. Fun night for all and a great night of racing for newer members. See the official thread for more information.
Wednesday nights, Gizziegod hosts a track night very similar to Super Normal Tuesdays but this is a Euro event so please check the thread for the official time frame for racing action. It is another great opportunity to run with some really fast members and a great place to get to race with some of the regulars you will be battling with if you are planning to run one of Gizzies series.
ProAM Lobby: Man there was some fantastic racing to witness, if you get a moment to wander around, check out the replays from this lobby. (Fusion14 has shared them – and Thank you) Fusion14 leads the group for the championship bid but Old Scotian isn’t letting him get to far out front and Anubis0816 is keeping them both honest with some great racing action. So race 1 at Homestead, lap after lap we watched Fusion battle with Anubis while Jimmythangz and OldScotian went head to head. These were some great battles and quite honestly, some of the best racing we have seen in a long time, no incident side by side, trading the position lap after lap racing. At the checkers, an invisible Wilky would steal the win from Old Scotian (we said steal only for the fact that no one could see Wilky) Fusion14 would have a good race and cross 3rd to keep the points mounting. Onto the very wet raceday at Silverstone, we again would see some great racing action. The rain would not deter Fusion14 as he worked his way through the field and eventually would cross the checkers for the win with Old Scotian in his mirrors for 2nd and Anubis0816 crossing in 3rd.
Here is a picture of Wilky at Silverstone:
The current challenge is Maple Valley, day (no rain) in the Sport Touring division. It has turned into a classic Ford vs Chevy battle as Stu has shared a fantastic tune for the 15′ Camaro while Lucky has provided an even more stellar tune for the 16′ Mustang 350GTR. Great job to both guys for providing some great tunes for the event (and for sharing them). If you get a chance, you owe it to yourself to grab one of these tunes which are primarily grip tunes so they may not work well on long tracks but at any grip track, these tunes would be very hard to beat. AS of this writing, quentin has quietly logged a 1.37.703 which for the moment provided him with his first overall 1st place and 1st in hardcore. However, it wont last long as Lucky is only 1/10th back at 1.37.818. MasterBigChief is working to break the 1.38 barrier as well. This one aint over yet so hold on and check the thread to see where this one finishes up. It has been a great event with several drivers pushing some great laps forward. 2O4F also owns the leaderboards across all of the categories! Great job to all entries and once again, great tunes Lucky and Stu, thank you both for sharing.
Go to the official Hot Lap Challenge threads to see where you stand and to keep up with what the organizers throw at us next (new events are announced and start on Tuesday nights)
There is racing happening in several different platforms right now so if you want to get into something different, check the forums and threads under the titles name to see what is going on and when.
