Good morning 2O4F and welcome to the unofficial race lobby report we have dubbed:
Now onto the racing action. We start off the report with Forza Motorsport 7:
The next series will get announced shortly as well so keep your eyes on the official events threads to see what is next.
Tuesday nights are home of the long running Super Normal Tuesdays. This is a great night of non points racing with some of the regular series drivers in the club. The racing starts in D class and if the racing stays clean, we move up a class to as far as we can go. Belt races feature some unruly builds for some fun filled races. The belt races usually are geared to focus on driver ability to adapt to conditions and win a race under those severe conditions. Fun night for all and a great night of racing for newer members. See the official thread for more information.
Wednesday nights, Gizziegod hosts a track night very similar to Super Normal Tuesdays. This is a Euro event so please check the thread for the official time frame for racing action. It is another great opportunity to run with some really fast members and a great place to get to race with some of the regulars you will be battling with if you are planning to run one of Gizzies series.
We could not locate a shared version of the ProAM races so we will cap the points heading into the final week: Fusion14 would take back to back victories this night, putting him in as a sure bet for the championship (and relegation up to Pro) he now stands 45 points ahead of the charging OldScotian. Scotian would struggle a little at COTA but would claim 2nd for the race at Dubai. Parcells would collect the 2nd place at COTA While Jimmythangzz would gather up the 3rd place at COTA. Fammehotrods would take the final podium of the night with a 3rd at Dubai. Though the points at the top of the ProAM ladder may be close to locked in, there is still some great points battles heading into the final week. 3rd place Bigdaddy is being chased down by jimmythangzz while Dbrown and Parcells find themselves tied with a possible podium finish available if either one can rally for the finally at VIR and Suzuka.
It appears that the forecast is for rain at VIR on Thursday, we will see how the final night turns out.
In replacement of the Sunday series, Lord Sarverious is back into the series hosting spotlite as he has announced the next battle royale as the:
Yup, you read that. Go to the thread to sign up and see what car selections are and restrictions (the car choice is most important). Testing may be going on randomly as the series is a tune-able series. The racing is set to kick off next Sunday so get in there and get her tuned and painted.
And the final moments of the Forza portion of the report are always home to the 2Old 4Hotlapping or the HLC series brought to you by Pryde300ZX, FV Lucky1, Triumphrid3r and Lord Sarverious.
Please check the thread to get the new scorer gamer tags added to your friends list so that your lap times can be recorded.
Last week was a surprise week as we took to Maple Valley full in the sport touring division. Lucky1 posted an incredible tune that put most of the field running it into he top spots of the leaderboards. The car of choice was the Mustang 350GTR and what a rocket it was. Quentin found himself at the top of the leaderboards with a 1.37.112 with Lucky putting a last minute effort to catapult into 2nd with a 1.37.447. At events end, 2O4F posted to all but 1 spot in Hardcore (first page) and absolutely dominated the overall boards. Great job all entries and great job to Lucky for the tune to beat last week.
Now the current challenge, and a challenge it is with VIR west in the Formula 90s division. These are some fast cars on a fast track and if you dont keep your wits, you will find a dirty lap or worse yet, a tire barrier which is rattling at full speed (yeah, I’ve done it) Currently Electric came out with #1 on his mind and boom..number 1 is his with a 1.56.431. Electric was after the top spot and TCS and Autostick were the only way to get there, but very impresssive lap none the less. Nicely done Electric. Lucky and Quentin find themselves battling for the top spot in hardcore as they chip away each session. Quentin has the current lead by a narrow 1/10th of a second. This battle will be something to watch as Quentin has to run his best lap before Monday at 7 due to the win last week so………….
There is racing happening in several different platforms right now so if you want to get into something different, check the forums and threads under the titles name to see what is going on and when.
