Podium Report – Week of 12/03 – 12/10

Good morning 2O4F and welcome to the unofficial race lobby report we have dubbed:

A1 Header.jpg

Now onto the racing action. We start off the report with Forza Motorsport 7:

B FM7.jpg

C Formula Mazda.jpg

And the Mazdas fired up and headed through the city views of the fictional Prague circuit. By reading thru the thread one has determined that Prague is well just Prague. The Mazdas in their current build are not easy to tame and there would be some minor collection of scrap metal here and there but as the dust settled and the lobby got settled into the racing, there would be some good racing. The usual faces on the podium and some new ones to the Euro podium. KC took the top spot at Prague giving him a commanding lead for the championship but there is still 2 weeks of racing. Ron ANYTIME Ron boosted his Mazda into 2nd place this week. Derekthetree would put his Mazda in 3rd place keeping him in the hunt as he sits only 4 points outside the championship podium. This week, the racers take the Mazdas to the Mountain curves of yup…Bathurst! This is an interesting track selection for this car and should have some great action. All of the action begins today at 8pm GMT, 2pm EST. Good luck to all entries.

D V8 Series.jpg

Later on, the US side of 2O4F takes to the track in Lord Sarverious’ series, the V8 supercar championship. Unfortunately, Sarver is in the middle of a move and won’t be back on Xbox for a couple weeks. GrimGGhost 2O4F or Lucky 2O4F has picked up the hosting duties for the series and the action will continue tonight at Sonoma for some testing of the brakes on these aussie monsters! The racing from Road America last week was great fun to watch as a large field of cars took to the track. Liveries were not visible in the replays, so it was hard to keep track of who was who but at the line, Electric took the checkers a second time this series to put him and the Fords into a small lead. RRR Flight602 took his ford to the second place finish keeping him in the hunt for the championship while ALandry took his Ford to the 3rd place finish also keeping him in the race for the championship. The Manufacturers championship appears to be locked into the Ford but Grim is in a Nissan and within striking distance of a Podium spot and MasterBigChief is working his way up the points ladder with his Holden. Shout out to MBC for sharing the replay. Good luck all at Sonoma tonight!

Tuesday nights are home of the long running Super Normal Tuesdays. This is a great night of non points racing with some of the regular series drivers in the club. The racing starts in Homologated D class divisions and if the racing stays clean, the lobby moves up a class/division to as far as they can go. Fun night for all and a great night of racing for newer members. Sign ups and official number are not required but you will need to know who is hosting so get over to the thread under official events for more information.

Wednesday nights, Gizziegod hosts a track night very similar to Super Normal Tuesdays but this is a Euro event so please check the thread for the official time frame for racing action. It is another great opportunity to run with some really fast members and a great place to get to race with some of the regulars you will be battling with if you are planning to run one of Gizzies series.

E 2.5 Challenge.jpg

And here it is in all its newly configured glory: Drivebye is bringing us the 2. Series challenge and better than ever with bigger horsepower and fully tuneable builds. I took the Mazda out to Nurburg for some testing and tuning and oh boy, I may have to get in on this one. These cars are a blast. Nice work on the builds Drivebye. To anyone unfamiliar with this series from FM6, we ran 2 rounds of these because the racing was Epic and the cars really were that much fun to drive. This time around, we are short the Toyota but the rest remain intact. The racing is not scheduled to start until the calendar flips over (January 7th) so you have plenty of time to test, tune and paint your selection. Get over to the official events thread and post your interest and get to building an tuning!

F RCS Banner.jpg

Thursday night is the night of stock race cars and GrimGGhost 2O4F’s series…RCS or Race Car Series. Season 2 is killing many tires in the Lotus Exige S. Last week the racers took to Hockenheim national circuit and then to Road Atlanta full.

PRO Lobby: It is hard to describe the feeling when you have another racer close to your own speed level close by and battling it out for a spot. But from what I have seen so far in the Pro lobby, the only description to give that moment is awesome. There have been many great races this season despite the Lotus being a pain in the ass to keep on the track. Race 1 at Hockenheim saw 2 epic battles take place. Behind the leaders, Nightstalker and Quentin would trade spots for all but 4 laps as they battled. Just behind them, Grim, Hoptimizer and jay Waite were doing the same for most of the race. It really was hard to find a car to focus on for pictures but isn’t that what we are doing this for? At the checkers, Chief and Electric were also battling for the top spot. MasterBogChief would take the checkers this race with Electric and Stu not far behind. Race 2 would again unfold in dramatic style as Nightstalker took the pole with Chief and Electric giving chase. There would be some loss of traction and all 3 would end up fighting there way back through the field. Hoptimizer would take full advantage and lead several laps with Pryde 2O4F not far behind. Eventually Pryde would get the lead but Electric and Stu would eventually catch up and get the lead after pit stops were taken. Stu would cross first for the win, Electric would take second and Pryde had a great race to take 3rd. MasterBigChief woud have a full suspension failure and would not be able to finish the race. The points are showing some great battles coming up as the racers head into hell week with Brands Hatch in the rain and corner cutting paradise of Yas Marina on the schedule next Thursday.

Pro AM Lobby had a black out for televised action but we see some very interesting results in the points. Currently one of the Parcells has showed up ready to race and has had a string of good finishes keeping him in the lead for the championship. VWhit has also had a great season and finds himself in 2nd in points right now and only 3 points from the top spot. OldScotian struggled in the first couple races but gathered up a 2nd place at Road Atlanta to stabilize the 3rd place in points. FamehotRods is hunting the podium n 4th and only 6 points out of 3rd. There is always some Epic battles in ProAM and we hope the black is not in effect next week and we can get some pics into the report.

And the final moments of the Forza portion of the report are always home to the 2Old 4Hotlapping or the HLC series brought to you by Pryde 2O4F, Lucky 2O4F, Triumphrid3r and Lord Sarverious.
Please check the thread to get the new scorer gamer tags added to your friends list so that your lap times can be recorded.

Last week was a moonshine running rooted trip through Road Atlanta in the NASCAR division. Electric would take a Toyota to the top spot overall assisted but top spot either way at 1.19.614. Quentin would take the top spot in hardcore at 1.19.642 and tank000000001 would sneak onto the podium late with an assisted 1.19.723. Lucky would struggle and MasterChief would not get faster before event close to tighten up the points considerably for season 1. At the moment Lucky leads the season by 4 points over Chief and Quentin is working hard to close the 6 point gap to chief. This has to be the closest and hardest to predict season that we have recorded. Shouts to Tank00001 for the tuner of the week award as his tune proved to fill the leaderboards and with some more laps, could easily take that #1 spot.

G1 HLC.jpg

The current challenge is proving to be a great final moments challenge as we take the Showroon Rallye division around Suzuka West Alt configuration. Currently Stu leads the way with a very fast 1.31.486. Several are giving chase and by event close, it is hard to predict what we will end up with but we can say that 2O4F has definitely taken over the leaderboards once again. With everyone starting to add the 2O4F to their gamer tags, it is cool to have so many going as fast as they are. It appears that TBohar will earn the tuner of the week award as his Renault A110 tune is getting a lot of top spots. Event closes Tuesday so there is still time to put your name into the mix.

G2 HLC.jpg

Go to the official events thread / Hot Lap Challenge threads to see where you stand and to keep up with what the organizers throw at us next (new events are announced and start on Tuesday nights) There is an official special announcement coming for the end of season 1 so check the thread and keep an eye on this section of the report for more details.

There is one last section of Forza action happening, Friday nights Tourni6 is hosting a track night for the euro side, please see the thread under official events to see what is happening if Friday is your racing day/night.

H Other Header.jpg

There is racing trying to happen in several different platforms right now so if you want to get into something different, check the forums and threads under the titles name to see what is going on and when.

K Dirt4 Banner.jpg

Dirt4 is continuing to run weekly challenges that end on Sundays. Head over to the official Dirt4 thread to see where and what is going on with this title. It may be a little slow right now as most of the main players are either on FM7 or Project cars 2 at this time but there are still some racers keeping the mud slung so post away in the thread and good luck on the stages!

J PC Banner.jpg

Project Cars 2 is stumbling through its existence (as most tiles are right now to be honest). The weekly RCS style series has been canceled but there is still racing to be had if you just ant let go of PC2 just yet. You will need to go to the official Project Cars 2 thread to see what events are happening or scheduled to be happening. Currently there is a time attack running and some hot lap style events going, again check the thread for exact details.

L Assetto Corsa.jpg

Assetto Corsa…not really sure what to say here, there has been no activity on the thread for several weeks now. I think there are a couple walkers over there trying to get something going but it appears that this one has finally run out of gas. If there is any new activity or events that rise from the dead, we will add this section back to the report but for now this will be the last notes on AC. If this is your game and you are not giving up hope, please see the official AC thread in the forums.

And here we are again, at the end of the report. At this time, the staff would like to thank all the contributors, event organizers, livery creators, replay savers, spread sheet slammers, hot lappers, tuners, and everyone else who gets on the forums and gets involved.

See you on the track or behind your ghost (oh yeah, that is my ghost if I can beat that asshole at least), have fun and good luck racers and lappers!
