Good morning 2O4Frs and welcome to the unofficial race lobby report we have dubbed:
Now onto the racing action and there is a lot of racing to report. There is no postponement for weather conditions in Forza so we start off the report with Forza Motorsport 7 because it is part of our clubs name after all:
Sundays are very busy indeed, after the choirs have finished singing and the worshipers have all gone home, the TVs come on, the Xbox gets fired up and Boogity Boogity Boogity, NASCAR gets underway! That all depends on which side of the pond you are on of course, this is the Euro time slot hosted by series Mastermind (easy boys) ….Gizziegod. And alright, lets get on with the reporting….last Sunday was week 1 and the left turners headed to Indianapolis for a 74 lap extravaganza. A couple laps in and the front 2 get tangled heading into turn 2 as the back end breaks loose. Through a wall of tire smoke, Grimster and RonronVachon sneak through and take off to the running. Behind them, battles would stack up here and there but the field eventually settled in, spread out and ran some laps. At the checkers, Grim would cross first for the gold. Ron would take the silver and Woodstack brings home the bronze. Later today, the racers will be getting onto the hardtop at Road America for 23 laps. Lets stay tuned to see how this one turns out!
That US 1 gold , Canada 1 silver, UK 1 Bronze …. for now
As the sun goes down on the NASCAR series, the engines are getting cranked up as Drivebye and Jay Waites series, the Touring Car Masters gets ready to hit the track. This week is the first week of official racing. Testing has been extensive and the racing has been stellar. The following are a couple snaps from the latest round of testing. SUNDAY…SUNDAY…SUNDAY…today to be more precise. Stay tuned. If you think you want in on this one, there is still time to get one built. But please, head over to the thread and check it out, there is a build guideline.
Mondays are the home of a Nightstalker hosted series…the Lotus Elan and Mini series. Last week had some great battles with Grim taking the lead in points. This week, racers took to Sebring short and Sonoma GP. Electric would join in and would take the Gold at Sebring. Nightstalker would take the Silver and Ronron would take the bronze. Race 2 ….. Sonoma …. JSF Wilky would finish ahead of Ron once again and get the Gold, Nightstalker would take another Silver and Ronron the Bronze so that is now…US with 2 Gold and 2 Silver, Canada with 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, and UK with 1 Bronze. What the hell are we counting these for, nobody cares about medals anymore right? The only reason we threw those in there was to fill space for areas where we could not get pictures.
Tuesday nights are home of the long running Super Normal Tuesdays. This is a great night of non points racing with some of the regular series drivers in the club. The racing starts in divisional D class and if the racing stays clean, we move up a class / division to as far as we can go. It usually includes a Belt race that is basically what is built to be an untraceable car that the group is challenged to get around the track just enough to win. Fun night for all and a great night of racing for newer members. See the official thread for more information. Thanks to FM7, I lost the replays from last week for other series but we got 1 picture from the first race…..check the thread as the divisions for the night get posted in the thread and you will have some time to prepare cars or at least get some idea of what cars await.
Wednesday nights, Gizziegod hosts a track night very similar to Super Normal Tuesdays but this is a Euro event so please check the thread for the official time frame for racing action. It is another great opportunity to run with some really fast members and a great place to get to race with some of the regulars you will be battling with if you are planning to run one of Gizzies series.
Thursday night has become another busy night of 2O4F action. First on the event list is the World Spec Series which is an Euro RCS hosted by Blemished Spy. Season 1 features the Ebay BMW 125i. Shakedowns have been taking place and the first round of action is set to take place this Thursday at Monza and Watkins Glen. That is a great kick off schedule cant wait to see the results from this series. Good luck to all entries. If you want in, head over to the official event thread and get your GT on the list, also check out the requirements, rules and schedule.
As the sun travels across the outer rim and sets long past the US continent, season 4 takes shape in RCS hosted by GrimGGhost 2O4F. Version 7.2.5 R1, volume 4, chapters 1:1, 1:2, 2:1 and 2:2 have been written. Coms were on the busted side but it was a great qualification and race as the series kicked took a shot at Bugatti with some sketchy weather conditions and then later at Mugello for the European tour. The new season and format features a series first, a spec built racecar, tuneable and paintable – hell even Electric had a paint job on his car! Race 1 at Bugatti was impressive in lobby 1. The first 5 laps were single file for the most part, a few passes here and there but super clean tight racing. As the rain began to fall, most were trying to figure out how to get the beast to stop properly but through the puddles, the BMWs did prod on. There were several great battles but at the moist line, Eelectric took first, wheel abandoned controller Chief took second and Alandry took 3rd . For Mugello, the skies were forecast to be dry (even the weather channel cant get that one wrong). One again, Eelectric would take the pole and would give MBC just some fading taillights to see every now and then. Nightstalker would take his BP sponsored BMW to the podium in 3rd. Season 4 continues into week 2 of 3 next week at Yas Marina and Bathurst.
Service announcement #1: There are some additional rules for the series and you will need to head over to the RCS season 4 official event thread to get caught up on these. You can leave your signed contract (signed in blood) in the mailbox at: the last house on the left,668 Elm street, Las Vegas Nevada, 66602.
Fridays have had a great Euro time slot event going and building….the Sprint Fridays hosted by DangerDave. This past week the racers took the track toy division to Road Atlanta. I will defer you to the official event thread for the race recap as DangerDave has provided some great commentary for this past weeks racing. Picture alo courtesy of DDs thread! Go over to the official thread to get caught up on the cars, restrictions, time zones, tracks and all other important information you will need to join this growing event if Fridays are your time to shine!
Now we skim over the 2Old 4Hotlapping or the HLC series brought to you by PrydeZX 2O4F, Lucky1 2O4F, Triumphrid3r, Lord Sarverious and Tbohar (blueEM2 HLC).
Please check the thread to get the new scorer gamer tags added to your friends list so that your lap times can be recorded.
Season 3 is at the just past midway point as week 3 of 5 is taking place.
Last week was Yas Marina in the historic road racing division. Electric took first overall..literally. GTR AnThMan took home first in Pro and BoDarville took home first in Grassroots.
This week is Ultima 1020 division on Monza full. Electric leads the world, Triumphrid3r leads pro and BoDarville leads grassroots. There is still time to get a lap in so get out there and show us how fast you can be.
Go to the official Hot Lap Challenge threads to see where you stand and to keep up with what the organizers throw at us next (new events are announced and start on Tuesday nights)
Before I close out FM7 for this report, I would like to give you a heads up on another fantastic series presented by Drivebye and Jay Waite…the Rallye GRa series that is in the testing phases right now but as soon as this one hits the calendar, you had better mark yours and get ready to go into corners 2 and 3 wide. I have been privileged to be a part of the testing and these cars are so much fun and so close in racing that it is almost unexplainable. Take a look at some of this pictures (not for the quality of picture) and take note of how close the cars are in each picture. I can share the replays if you need more proof but in each one of these pictures, there was no incident that occurred despite how close the cars were. A testament to both drivers of 2O4F and even more, the series build skills of Drivebye and JW.
Service Announcement #2: You came this far, please go to and through the official events threads and series planning threads as there is a lot of racing being proposed, tested and turned down. The event hosts usually try to get a feeling for interest in an event and if they feel like no one is interested the the series goes to the end of the list or never to be seen again piles. We have some great series taking shape and after all, isnt that the bottom line to why we are all here?
There are things happening in a couple other titles right now so if you want to get into something different, check the forums and threads under the titles name to see what is going on and when.
Dirt4 is continuing to run weekly challenges and there is alao a group of mudslingers hanging out on Wednesday nights for some intense lobby action. If you want in, head over to the official Dirt4 thread, check out what is going on and get involved!
Project Cars 2 has some hot lap challenges happening and there is also a Nordshleife challenge on going. If you still play PC2, head over to the official thread and get involved!
And here we are again, at the end of the report. At this time, the staff would like to thank all the contributors, event organizers, livery creators, replay savers, spread sheet slammers, hot lappers, tuners, and everyone else who gets on the forums and gets involved.
See you on the track because i cant see your ghost, have fun and good luck to all racers and lappers!
